Obuv Rossii becomes first Wildberries’ network partner for pick-up points

Russia’s largest fashion retailer, Obuv Rossii Group, has partnered with the country’s leading online retailer, Wildberries, to enable Wildberries’ customers to collect their orders in Obuv Rossii’s stores.

The first partnership pick-up points have already launched in 100 Obuv Rossii’s sales outlets in Siberia and the Far East – mainly in the stores of Westfalika, the key Group brand. By the end of the year, the companies plan to double the number of their joint pick-up points, up to 263. Wildberries’ customers are provided with the whole range of services in Obuv Rossii’s stores: online order pick-up, trying on, and returns.

“We are glad to cooperate with Wildberries, the leader of the Russian e-commerce market,” says Natalya Kulikova, head of the financial services group in Obuv Rossii Group. “We have been developing the partner pick-up point project since 2018 and have achieved a stable figure of 90-100 thousand parcels delivered every month. Co-operation with Wildberries will allow us to increase the number of issued parcels further, to attract additional traffic to our stores, to offer convenient servicing, and to enhance customer loyalty.”

Vyacheslav Ivashchenko, chief business development officer of Wildberries, said: “We try to be still closer to our clients, that is why we decided to open new convenient pick-up points together with our partners. In early summer, we launched order delivery to partner parcel terminals. Now we plan to significantly expand our chain due to collaboration with other companies to issue online orders. It is worth mentioning that we are ready to co-operate not only with such big companies as Obuv Rossii but with individual entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises for which such cooperation can provide significant economic support due to the Wildberries’ big customer traffic – we send over 780 thousand orders daily.”

Wildberries has over 17,000 partner pick-up points spanning its own stores and partner sites, up 250% since the beginning of the year.

Obuv Rossii stores are developing as omni-channel sales outlets, and the new pickup points are an example of the integration of various sales channels, the retailer said. The Group now collaborates with the leading operators on the Russian logistic market. On average, customers receive 2,500-3,000 parcels a day via the Obuv Rossii chain. Most orders include electronics, perfumery, cosmetics, books, apparel and shoes.
