Sales of Shampoos in Obuv Rossii Stores Break Records

Novosibirsk, 22 October 2019: During the autumn-winter season of 2019/2020, the highest demand in the Westfalika Medical line in Obuv Rossii stores was for shampoos, body scrubs and face wash gels. Two types of shampoos – with Dead Sea salt and henna – were number one in sales. These products were supplied to Westfalika stores, which are the main retail chain of the Group, in summer last year and moved to the fore right away. The Westfalika Medical line is regularly expanded and now includes virtually the whole range of main personal care products — 53 SKUs.

«High demand for certain cosmetic products from our Westfalika Medical line for such a long time proves that customers like these products meeting their requirements. Many people are used to seeing novelties every season, and now, when coming to a store, they look for something new. Sometimes customers tell us what products they would like to see in our retail outlets,» says Olga Danilova, Head of the Related Products Department in Obuv Rossii Group. «A dialogue with customers is one of the key moments when forming the Westfalika Medical line».

The Company plans to add 11 more SKUs to its stock by the new season of spring-summer 2020. The new items include anti-cellulite products, liquid soap for hands, new hand and foot care creams.

The related products line under own brands is one of the key business areas for the Company. The share of related product sales in the retail proceeds in the first six months of 2019 was 35.3%, which is 3.8 pp more compared with the same period of the last year. Obuv Rossii has been developing the Westfalika Medical brand since 2010, when they started to sell one type of foot care cream. Since that time, the stock under this brand has been regularly diversified. Taking into account the novelties that will appear in the spring-summer 2020 season, the Westfalika Medical line will include 64 SKUs.
