Obuv Rossii Will Procure via an Online Trading Platform

21 June 2019, Russia, Novosibirsk: Obuv Rossii Group, the first publicly traded company in Russian fashion retail, will upgrade to a new internal procurement system from 24 June. The Group will procure goods and services via B2B-Center online trading platform. This platform is one of the leaders of the Russian internal procurement market. This will allow Obuv Rossii to make the procurement system more competitive, transparent and manageable, improve the quality of supplier selection and reduce the cost of goods and services procured.

In 2018, the Group tested the tender approach for the procurement of computer and office equipment using its corporate website as a platform. In 2019, the Company began to procure certain services cooperating with a third-party online platform. Test projects yielded positive results, so the Group has decided to upgrade to the tender system to procure goods and services.

"The change in the procurement system is one of the stages in fulfilling the strategy for enhancement of Group's operating business effectiveness. The introduction of the tender system will allow us to reduce the prime cost of procurements, expand our supplier base and improve the quality of procured goods and services. This will also bring about reducing operating costs, which will have a positive impact on the Company's financial results," says Anton Titov, CEO of Obuv Rossii Group.

Now the Company cooperates with the B2B-Center trading platform. It also considers a future possibility to cooperate with other platforms such as Sberbank-AST.
