OR GROUP increased its server capacity for the development of financial services

23 June 2021, Novosibirsk, Russia: OR GROUP (MOEX: ORUP) is a modern selling platform which comprises the westfalika.ru marketplace, an ecosystem of services and a network of selling and service points, purchased and installed additional equipment — network attached storage, which allowed the company to increase the productivity of the IT-system by 120% and the actual volume of data storage by 40%, and also significantly raised the level of fault tolerance of all operating IT-systems and reduced the risk of data loss in case of an accident. The main goal is to provide a reliable and scalable IT-infrastructure for the further development of financial services, primarily in the online-format (distance services). IT-TRENDE Company has become a project implementation partner.

Financial services (cash loans and installments payments) are a promising direction of OR GROUP. This area is developed by MFC «Arifmetika» LLC, a part of OR GROUP. In the 1st quarter of 2021, the portfolio on cash loans grew by 11.4% to RUB 3 bln. MFC «Arifmetika» LLC market position is strong: it is ranked among the TOP-3 microlenders according to the rating agency "Expert" by the volume of issued consumer loans (Installments)[1] and the net profit value[2] in 2020. The company has expanded the IT-systems since it plans to actively develop distance services in the medium term.

The company acquired equipment from Fujitsu, one of the leaders in the global information and communication technology market.

“We increase the resources of the corresponding support and backup IT-systems due to the development of financial services (including the online format) and their scaling up. Since the company in its IT-strategy focuses on its data centers, we decided to purchase additional equipment and integrate it into the existing distributed IT-system of the Group", comments Dmitry Karpenko, CIO of OR GROUP. “The Company's specialists have carried out a thorough analysis of both current and future needs. As a result, we determined the necessary technical parameters to hold a tender for the purchase of the corresponding equipment. The equipment was obtained, configured, integrated into the existing infrastructure of data centers and currently provides the operational activities of financial services and the development of new projects".

“During the implementation of this project, we solved the following tasks — we optimally distributed the load within the IT-system, effectively used the available resources, ensured the continuity of business processes and integrated with the virtualization platform, which provides the consolidation of disk resources", comments Alexey Pekhterev, CEO of IT-TRENDE. “We considered several solutions based on equipment from world leaders such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Dell Technologies and Fujitsu. As a result, we chose the expandable unified storage system Fujitsu ETERNUS DX500, which provides enterprise-class functionality and serves as an excellent data aggregation tool, effectively solving the above-mentioned tasks".

The OR GROUP's IT-system is based on 1C. The company has three own data centers — in Novosibirsk (the central), Moscow and Khabarovsk — which ensure uninterrupted operation 24/7/365. The IT-system integrates all Group's selling and service points (over 800 in over 330 cities), as well as online platforms (westfalika.ru marketplace and mobile application).
