Westfalika changed the mode of operation on Ozon

OR GROUP, which develops a modern selling platform, a network of sales and service outlets, Westfalika and an ecosystem of services, in May started working with the leading marketplace Ozon using the system of FBS (fulfillment by seller). This scheme assumes that the goods are presented on the Ozon selling platform, while being stored in the supplier's warehouse. Upon receipt, the order is packed and handed over to the Ozon courier or delivered to the nearest pick-up point on its own. The last stage is delivery to the buyer which is carried out using Ozon logistics. On the selling platform, OR GROUP primarily sells footwear, clothing and accessories under the Westfalika brand. The cooperation will allow the company to attract new customers, expand its sales geography and increase online sales.

To implement the project, the OR GROUP and Ozon IT systems were integrated within a month. Now the leftovers of Westfalika stores in Novosibirsk are automatically loaded on the Ozon marketplace. During the summer, the Group plans to connect retail outlets from other regions to the project — more than 330 cities in total. Previously, OR GROUP worked with Ozon on the FBO (fulfillment by Ozon) model, when the goods were shipped in advance to the warehouse of the selling platform and delivered from it.

«Online sales are one of the priority areas for the company. We are not only developing our own online platforms and mobile application, but also expanding cooperation with partners. The new format of operation with Ozon allows the company to increase the number of orders — in the first two weeks the growth was 20%, mostly people buy footwear. Also, with such scheme, the commission for us as a supplier is lower (we pay only for the sale of goods), which allows us to reduce costs», — comments Alexey Chaplygin, head of OR GROUP online sales. «In future, the company plans to start cooperating with other large online retailers using the online storefront model».

In the 1st quarter of 2021, OR GROUP's online sales grew by 7.4% year-on-year, their share in the revenue of the Westfalika selling platform (sale of goods of its own brand and partner goods in the retail network and on the westfalika.ru online platform) reached 25.8%. OR GROUP plans to increase this share to 30% in 2021.
