Sales of socks are breaking records on the OR GROUP trading platform
In the 1st quarter of 2021 like-for-like sales of socks increased by 24% on the Westfalika trading platform, which is operated by OR GROUP. During this period, 90 thousand pairs of socks were sold for 9 million rubles.
«Over the past three years we have seen 20-30% increase in like-for-like sales of socks. The high demand is due to the fact that the classic style is no longer as popular as it used to be, and for everyday life more and more people choose casual style and wear jeans for which they buy socks,» — comments Olga Danilova, head of the OR GROUP related products department.
OR GROUP is also seeing an increasing demand for sportswear, which appeared on the Westfalika marketplace last year, due to the healthy lifestyle trend. The company will expand its assortment, considering the preferences of buyers and introduce high-demand product categories, dealing with new suppliers.
We remind you that in the 1st quarter of 2021 860 thousand partner goods worth 370 million rubles were sold in stores and on westfalika.ru. In total, over the entire period of the marketplace project's operation (since December 2019) goods worth 1.6 billion rubles have been sold. Today the company cooperates with over 1000 suppliers.
