Obuv Rossii made the list of strategic enterprises

Russia, Novosibirsk, 22 April 2020: The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation (Minpromtorg) has published the first version of the list of strategic enterprises which includes 246 companies from 15 industries — from automobile production and heavy mechanical engineering to the chemical and light industry. Obuv Rossii Group was included in the list of systemically important organizations in the production of apparel and footwear. Along with the Group, such large Russian enterprises as Unichel, Faradey, Parizhskaya Kommuna, Egorievsk-Obuv and others are also included in the industry list. The full list is published on the website of Minpromtorg.

The list of strategic enterprises includes organizations that meet numerical criteria for the values ​​of industry indicators, such as proceeds and number of employees: for light industry this is at least 2,000 million rubles and at least 200 people respectively. The list included city forming enterprises that have a significant impact on the development of the region; performers of state defense orders; companies involved in the development and implementation of critical technologies, in providing transport accessibility of remote areas; enterprises with a dominant position in the market for a particular commodity and others.

Minpromtorg will monitor the economic status of all organizations from the list. The monitoring mechanism is implemented on the basis of the State Industry Information System (GISP). In case of critical situations, industry departments will be able to react promptly to them. Also enterprises from the list can count on state support.

This is the first version of the list of strategic enterprises; it will be supplemented by new organizations that meet the established criteria. In addition, this week Minpromtorg will approve the list of systemically important organizations in other sectors, such as pharmaceutical and medical industries, metallurgy, agricultural engineering, wholesaling and retail trade, etc.

The main Group business line is the production and sale of footwear and related goods. The Company manages 894[1] stores (175 operate as a franchise) under the brands of Westfalika (a monobrand store of classic footwear), Peshekhod ("Pedestrian") (a multibrand footwear supermarket), Rossita (a store for the whole family), Emilia Estra and Lisette (salons of fashionable footwear), in addition to developing brands of clothes and footwear for the active lifestyle brands of S-tep, All.go and Snow Guard. Furthermore, the Group also owns two manufacturing facilities in the Novosibirsk region.

In October 2017, Obuv Rossii raised 5.9 billion rubles in an IPO on the Moscow Exchange (ticker: OBUV), the issuer being OR PJSC, and in doing so became the first publicly listed company within the Russian footwear and fashion market.           

In accordance with the audited Financial Statements under the IFRS Group, revenue amounted to RUB 11.55 billion for the full year of 2018, net profit was RUB 1.33 billion, and EBITDA was RUB 2.86 billion.

In December 2019, RAEX (Expert РА) assigned the creditworthiness rating to Obuv Rossii Group at ruBBB+ level, a "stable" forecast.
