In 2019, Obuv Rossii Launched More Than 200 Stores

Obuv Rossii Group (MOEX: OBUV/ hereinafter – the “Company” or OR PJSC, or jointly with its subsidiaries and affiliates – “Obuv Rossii” or the “Group”), the first publicly traded company of the Russian fashion retail, sums up the results of the retail chain development for 2019. During the reporting period, the Group continued to actively expand its footprint. In 2019, Obuv Rossii launched more than 200 stores, the net increase was 181 stores taking into account the relocation and closing of some outlets, and entered 125 new cities. As a result, on 31 December 2019, the retail chain of the Group comprised 908 stores (172 of them — franchises) in 370 cities and towns of Russia.

“For two years our sales geography has expanded significantly, we have entered more than 220 new cities and towns. Since 2017 we have doubled the number of directly operated stores, which is an excellent indicator. The current business volume enables us to work with assortment, reduce production cost and increase the efficiency of our stores. Therefore, in 2020, we will focus on the improvement of our outlets’ quality indicators: expand the range of products by introducing new items; enhance the service component of the business by developing additional services including parcel delivery; increase online sales. Due to the work on these lines, we will increase sales per square meter and profitability of our stores, attract new customers and enhance the loyalty of our clients, and also strengthen our position on the market,” Anton Titov, CEO of Obuv Rossii Group, comments.

In 2019, the highest number of openings was in the Siberian Federal District — 39%. In the Far East 22% of new stores started operation, in the Privolzhsky District and the Ural — by 18% correspondingly, in the Northwest part of Russia — 3%. Like in previous years, the Company opened new outlets in a street-format primarily — 94% of the newly opened ones, 6% is for shopping malls.
