Obuv Rossii Has Become the First Wildberries’ Network Partner to Launch Pick-up Points

Obuv Rossii Group, the first public company on the Russian retail market, and the biggest online retailer in Russia, Wildberries, concluded a partnership agreement under which Wildberries’ clients will be able to get their orders in Obuv Rossii’s stores.

The first partnership pick-up points have started to operate already in 100 Obuv Rossii’s sales outlets in Siberia and the Far East – mainly in the stores of Westfalika, the key Group brand. By the end of the year, the Companies plan to increase the number of their joint pick-up points more than two times, up to 263. Clients of Wildberries are provided with the whole range of services in Obuv Rossii’s stores: online orders pick-up, trying on, and returns.

Any person who wants to open a partnership pick-up point together with Wildberries can do it, provided there is a legal entity. For that purpose, it is necessary to register on a special website https://point.wb.ru/ and send information about the premises. Wildberries’ partners are provided with all required functions to manage their pick-up point in a particular iOS- and Android based WBPoint application.

“We are glad to cooperate with Wildberries, the leader of the Russian e-commerce market,” says Natalya Kulikova, Head of the Financial Services Group in Obuv Rossii Group. “We have been developing the partner pick-up point project since 2018 and have achieved a stable figure of 90-100 thousand parcels delivered every month. Cooperation with Wildberries will allow us to increase the number of issued parcels further, to attract additional traffic to our stores, to offer convenient servicing, and to enhance customer loyalty”.

“We try to be still closer to our clients, that is why we decided to open new convenient pick-up points together with our partners. In early summer, we launched order delivery to partner parcel terminals. Now we plan to significantly expand our chain due to collaboration with other companies to issue online orders. It is worth mentioning that we are ready to cooperate not only with such big companies as Obuv Rossii but with individual entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises for which such cooperation can provide significant economic support due to the Wildberries’ big customer traffic – we send over 780 thousand orders daily,” said Vyacheslav Ivashchenko, Chief Business Development Officer of Wildberries.

Wildberries has over 17 thousand own and partner pick-up points. Their number has grown since the beginning of the year more than 2.5 times.

Obuv Rossii stores develop as omnichannel sales outlets, and the Pickup Points are an example of the integration of various sales channels. The Group now collaborates with the leading operators on the Russian logistic market. On average, the customers get 2,500-3,000 parcels a day in the Obuv Rossii chain. Most orders include electronics, perfumery, cosmetics, books, apparel and shoes.
