In five months, Obuv Rossii has sold more than 100 ths. toys

Novosibirsk, May 26, 2020: Obuv Rossii, the first public retailer in Russian fashion market, summarizes the first results of toys’ sales. In December 2019, the new assortment was for the first time delivered at Westfalika stores, which are the Group’s main retail chain, and more than 100,000 units have been sold in 5 months since the start of sales.

The range of toys is constantly expanding, and today more than 800 SKU are presented in stores: educational toys, board games, dolls, children's cosmetics sets, radio-controlled cars, characters from cartoons, constructors, slimes, creativity kits, children's scooters, etc. The company cooperates with more than 20 major suppliers, including Gulliver & Co., Symbat, Alice, Maxi Toys, ORANGE Company, Dream Makers, TNG, Bauer, Grat West, MDI LLC, Timbergroup, Premier Toy, Mosaic-Synthesis, etc. The company plans to expand the range with toys of not only Russian but also well-known global brands.

“Most of our customers are women for whom it is convenient to purchase goods for the whole family, including toys, in one place,” comments Vyacheslav Ustinov, Department Manager of Children's Goods. — “Our toys are designed for children of all ages — from toddlers to teenagers. The company expands its assortment and introduces new commodities of seasonal or staple demand. For example, before the summer, we offered our customers soap bubbles and children's scooters, in the winter we plan to focus on game sets, goods for creativity and development, and goods for winter leisure”.

In December 2019, Obuv Rossii launched Prodayom selling platform for cooperating with suppliers and started to transform stores into marketplaces. The project is part of the company's strategy to build a modern retail format and integrate into the multi-service and omnichannel retail space. Currently, the Group’s retail outlets are mini general stores offering a wide range of products. According to the results of the 1st quarter, the share of non-shoe products in the Group's retail sales reached 43.5%, the plan for 2020 is to increase this share up to at least 50%. Currently, the number of suppliers of Prodayom selling platform exceeds 400 companies.
