OR GROUP will manufacture shoes with characters of Universal Studios Limited

OBUV ROSSII Manufacture (part of OR GROUP) acquired a license from Universal Studios Limited for the right to produce and sell footwear under the brands Minions, Jurassic World, Trolls, Spirit in Russia and the CIS countries for a period of 2.5 years. Shoes with images of characters from the popular film and cartoons will be on sale in the summer of 2021 on the westfalika.ru marketplace and at the selling and service points of OR GROUP, as well as at other platforms and third-party retail chains. The planned annual volume of production will be 60-100 thousand pairs of shoes. OR GROUP's own funds have been invested in the project.

“Well-known animation brands are very popular and show high sales figures. Therefore, the new project will allow us to additionally load production facilities and increase revenue from the sale of goods of our own production. It is also an opportunity to enter the promising market for children's goods, where we are not actually presented yet”, comments Sergey Yung, Executive Director of OBUV ROSSII manufacturing company. “We will make shoes for children from 3 to 14 years old, a wide range of sizes from 23 to 34 will be presented. At this moment, models are being developed for the summer and autumn seasons of 2021. The branded collection will be sold through our own Westfalika selling platform, and we have already agreed upon supplying the new range to other chains and online marketplaces”.

In the first year, the company will release children's sabot made of EVA under the Minions brand. In 2022 and 2023, the Group will expand its assortment with EVA boots, sneakers and trainers for teenagers under the Jurassic World brand. The lineup will coincide with the release of a new series of the film in 2022. Also, the company will expand its line of shoes with Minions, which will be dedicated to the release of a new cartoon in the same year. As part of the development of the lineup, capsule collections with the characters "Trolls" and "Spirit" will be produced.

“It is our first experience of cooperating with world famous brands, and we hope that due to their popularity we will succeed in selling new products of our enterprise in Russia as well, and customers will appreciate the quality of our products under such brands as all.go, S-TEP and various designs with cartoon characters”, notices Sergey Yung. “An additional innovation for us was a rather complicated audit process that Universal conducted before the start of cooperation, we successfully passed it and received a production permit”.
